Daily Awam was an influential Urdu language daily newspaper in Pakistan, first published in 1989. It was a morning daily published by Awam Group of Newspapers. It operated under the ownership of Waseem Ahmed, who served as both Chief Executive and Editor-in-Chief. The newspaper was known for its extensive coverage and was published from multiple cities, including Karachi, Islamabad, Quetta, and Hub. Notably, Daily Awam Quetta became the third-largest circulating newspaper in Balochistan, Pakistan's largest province by area.
Despite its prominence, Daily Awam Karachiceased publication in December 2018 due to financial constraints, leading to the layoff of its staff. This closure marked the end of nearly three decades of journalistic contribution to Pakistan's media landscape. The newspaper's cessation was a significant event, reflecting the broader challenges faced by print media in the digital age.
